BioPartnering 2008
The terms of a deal on offer, a partner's development expertise and their alliance management skills are the top drivers of alliance formation according to senior partnering business development executives in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical devices industry and research institutes who participated in the BioPartnering 2008 survey.* The survey, conducted on behalf of IBM Business Consulting Services by Silico Research, has become the most authoritative surveys of sentiment around alliances in the life sciences.
Other key findings in the wide ranging research were that globally Genentech emerged as the most attractive potential partner, followed by Merck, Roche, GSK and Eli Lilly. * The survey was completed by 223 respondents, a 19% increase on BioPartnering 2006. The respondents contributed 2,528 individual driver ratings and 4,965 ratings of individual companies as potential partners.
